2009 Women Steppin Out Conference was a Great Success!

This years conference which was held on March 7, 2009 was our first women's conference & was very successful with outstanding registration & participation! We had over 90+ women from all walks of life who attended! Approximately 20+ women gave their lives to Christ & one lady was filled with Holy Spirit!

The women entered with excitement as they shared & got acquainted during our registration & continental breakfast. Then we opened with our morning session with special guest speaker--Billie Hunt of Lakewood Church of Houston, TX. Every woman was moved by Billie's opening song, "A No Matter What Woman" and then were encouraged & inspired under her anointed teaching on How to Step Out of the Muck of your Past.

Immediately following, the ladies attended our special luncheon right in our coffee shop prepared by our personal chef, Lady Lanell Hankton. Door prizes were given before & after the luncheon!

The second session began with two powerful testimonies from two women who, despite many challenges of the past, stepped out & overcame--against all odds! Then hearts began to open even more as God used Brittney Murry to minister hope & healing through ministry of Mime. We were then challenged through the anointed preaching of our second speaker, Pastor Josephine Urquhart of IDF Ministry of Leesville, LA who gave us powerful bibilical principles on how to S.T.E.P. into our purpose & destiny -- (S.top T.ripping & E.xercise P.ower).

Immediately following the second session the women participated in the Women Stepping Out Business Expo which featured the Hope Women's Resource Center, Texas Careers, Texas Workforce, Evie's Consignment, Literacy Depot w/ GED Preparation, as well as a local representative with Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University. We had several women who made major decisions to step out & register to begin GED preparation, other women made the decision to Volunteer at our local Hope Women's Resource Center for Crisis Pregnancies, other's got valuable information on jobs that are available in our area as well as classes to enhance their ability to get a job, & much more!!

The evening concluded with a 100 balloon release where the women all attached a card to their balloon with a list of things that they were stepping out of (past hurts, unforgiveness, negative relationships, etc.) and as they released these balloons, some yelled, some laughed, some simply had tears in their eyes, others clapped & waved. There were so many testimonies that even through this simple balloon release, there was a freedom that came.... there was a weight lifted off.... and a new found confidence that with God's help, they were truly stepping into a renewed & better future!

With God & because of your participation, this year's conference was a great success! Each woman not only left strengthened spiritually, but also left equipped with resources & a plan of action towards steppin' out of their past & into their pre-ordained future!
